Gender Equality: we are EDGE (ASSESS, level 1) and EDGE ASSESS Plus certified

We have achieved the first level of EDGE certification (ASSESS, level 1 of 3) for Gender Equality across various Group markets and companies. Lavazza PRO UK, Lavazza Germany, Lavazza North America, Lavazza France and Carte Noire obtained EDGE certification for the first time. The Italian (first level EDGE certification received in 2023) and America operations attained the even more significant EDGE ASSESS Plus level.

 

These milestones mark the achievement of a key goal in our GAP FREE Manifesto, which is our commitment as a Group to all our People.

 

 

The certification

 

EDGE (Economic Dividends for Gender Equality) certification is issued to companies that have shown a concrete commitment to eliminating gender gaps in the workplace, as assessed using a standard methodology.

 

EDGE Plus level is an evolution of the Certification, offering organisations a deeper and more detailed analysis of gender diversity data and enabling them to identify the specific barriers potentially encountered by the various groups.

The methodology

 

EDGE certification is based on a standard methodology and a comprehensive Gender Equality assessment system. The EDGE assessment system covers all relevant issues around gender equality within companies: gender representation, equal pay, policies to ensure fair career growth, practices to promote diversity.

 

For companies intending to embark on this journey, there is an initial self-assessment phase, followed by an audit before the final certification is issued.
