Our Volunteer Program ranked second in the Volontari@Work Award promoted by the Terzjus Foundation, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and in collaboration with Unioncamere, Italia non-profit and the National Third Sector Forum.

The Award

The Volontari@Work Award has a mission to promote synergy between the world of business and civil society, raising awareness and the profile of corporate skills-based volunteering initiatives that generate value.

This recognition consolidates our Group’s leadership role in corporate social responsibility, with a result made possible by the commitment of our People to the volunteering initiatives promoted by the Lavazza Foundation. The wide-ranging engagement and support program for the local communities in which our Group operates is an integral part of Community Care, meaning collaboration with local institutions and non-governmental organisations with an approach based on public-private partnership and cooperation between profit and non-profit organisations.

The Lavazza Volunteer Program

The initiative, rolled out first to the People who work in our headquarters and then extended to the Turin and Gattinara factories, was launched in 2023 to provide active support for local areas and the associations working in them. The program aims to build bridges with local communities, consolidating a corporate culture based on solidarity and social commitment. Various activities are under consideration in collaboration with more than 15 local associations that are already Lavazza Foundation partners, with a focus on crucial issues including food security, quality education, gender equality, inclusion, decent work and economic growth. The first two editions of the Lavazza Volunteer Program saw over 1,300 working hours dedicated to voluntary work, involving over 250 people.
