Leadership

DE&I Leadership

Our commitment to fostering different leadership styles and encouraging an inclusive mindset in the people who lead our Group is a concrete one: we’ve introduced programmes designed to encourage alliance-building between women and the training of new generations of women leaders. Our performance model assesses the ability to include people and see things from different perspectives.

Ongoing Training

All our people are encouraged to be agents of change in the journey of cultural transformation embarked on to dismantle bias and stereotypes. That’s why we have a broad-based and diversified DE&I offering. We're conscious that our People Managers have a responsibility to make the people on their team feel free and safe, included and valued. It’s why we give them special training: from the People Manager DE&I training initiatives organised by our associated companies, to the DE&I Gym sessions held at our HQ. In 2024, we also completed the first gender equity training programme for our male leaders.

CIYO Programme

In 2022, we launched CIYO (Come Into Your Own) to create a more equitable and inclusive working environment: this international programme developed by the Ashland Institute aims to increase women’s awareness of their role as leaders in the company, prompting a process of deep reflection on how to drive change at individual and collective level by acting as allies.

The programme also achieves another goal in our Manifesto through effective role modelling, inspiring people and new generations of women, and strengthening the network between women leaders in the company.

Sponsorship Programme

The Sponsorship Programme is an 18-month development initiative for women at the highest management levels, both in Italy and internationally. Created to raise the visibility of our female colleagues in management roles, it shines a light on women’s leadership and challenges the prejudices related to it, amplifying professional growth opportunities.

We have decided to embrace Goal 5 – Gender Parity as one of our priority Sustainable Development Goals: the programme is the result of this commitment and fulfils our Manifesto promise to support an increase in the number of executive roles held by women in the company.
